Removing Data and Patients

This page explains how QC Managers and Project Managers can remove data at different levels within SliceVault, including individual images, full visits, and entire patients.


Removing Images or Entire Visits

You can remove images or an entire visit from the visit dashboard.

Note: Removing data is irrevocable. You will not be able to restore data once deleted.

  1. Open the folder section on the visit dashboard to delete images individually. Look for the trashcan icon next to each image.
  2. To remove the entire visit (including all uploaded data), click the Delete Visit link.

Unable to Delete: Deletion access is role-restricted. If you cannot delete data, contact your main study contact for support.

Removing an Entire Patient

Removing a full patient record is only available to users with the QC Manager or Project Manager role.

Important: You can only remove a patient after all visits for that patient have been deleted.
If any visit remains, the Remove Patient button will be disabled.

Follow these steps to remove an entire patient: On the Repository page, click the Patient ID for the patient you want to remove.

  1. On the patient detail page, select Remove Patient.

This permanently removes the patient and all associated metadata records from the study.
