Getting Started as a Monitor and Project Manager
SliceVault supports two closely related roles — Monitor and Project Manager — that share many responsibilities in overseeing the study. Both roles sit alongside the core data processing workflow, tracking progress and compliance.
The reason for having two separate roles is to accommodate different workflows: for example Project Managers may primarily handle overall study oversight, ensuring that milestones are met, whereas Monitors may be required to fill out monitoring forms to verify site compliance. This role separation provides flexibility and ensures that each role can perform its specialized tasks without overlap.
This overview provides a brief introduction to what you can do as a Monitor or Project Manager in SliceVault. It outlines main responsibilities – accessing data, verifying site compliance, and monitoring study performance.
What You’ll Do in SliceVault
Once logged in, you will oversee study data and site compliance by tracking submissions, reviewing completed forms, monitoring timelines, and identifying issues that may require follow-up.
Review Submitted Data
From the patient list access the Visit Dashboard by clicking the colored square for the visit. Use the DICOM Viewer to open images, and review completed forms.

Add-on Features for Monitor and Project Manager
Project Managers and Monitors may have access to the following add-on features, depending on the study configuration.

| Image Masking | Tools for manual masking of burned-in annotations, especially when automated de-identification requires reinforcement. |
| KPI Dashboard | Displays key performance indicators such as upload compliance, QC timelines, or site-specific metrics to track study progress. |
| Eligibility Confirmation | Lets QC Managers confirm whether uploaded images meet eligibility criteria as defined in the protocol. |
| Visit Administration | Provides tools to bypass normal workflow restictions, for example to change visit status, change visit type or unlock forms. |
While these are the standard add-on roles for Project Managers and Monitors, SliceVault offers additional flexibility. If a specific project requires functionality typically assigned to another role-such as Reader or QC features—access can be configured to align with the study’s unique needs.
