Getting Started as a Trial Administrator
This overview introduces what you will do as a Trial Administrator in SliceVault. It outlines your core responsibilities – managing sites, administering users, and maintaining compliance through audit logs and policy controls.
What You’ll Do in SliceVault
Once logged in, you will configure study sites, control access for users, and monitor system activity to ensure protocol and regulatory compliance. Your tasks typically follow a clear process as outlined below.
Site Management
From the administration dashboard you create investigator sites, adjust site-specific settings (e.g., patient ID formats and ranges), and monitor activity and participation status.
User Administration
You create user accounts, assign roles and add-on features, and maintain account security by reviewing access and adjusting permissions when needed. This includes editing existing users when responsibilities change during the study.
System Oversight
Using the audit log you monitor uploads, modifications, role changes and other system events. You can export activity for reporting and manage data retention (including study repository deletion when studies conclude).
Access Control
You also control whether sites are active, which directly affects whether site users can log in. If an entire site loses access, review the site activation settings together with the trial date window.
Note These steps form the foundation of your role as a Trial Administrator in SliceVault. Each action is documented in more detail within the sub-pages below.
